You have the capability to monitor and generate reports on your LinkedIn ad campaign groups, campaigns, and ads within your SalesTitan account.

Upon linking your LinkedIn ad account to SalesTitan, you can activate auto-tracking, automatically applying a set of UTM parameters to all supported ad types in your account.

Supported ad types

SalesTitan has the capability to monitor the majority of LinkedIn ads, with certain ad types not being supported due to API limitations. Explore further details about the distinctions between ad tracking and reporting in SalesTitan.

Requirements for tracking LinkedIn ads

To monitor LinkedIn Ads in your SalesTitan account, ensure the following conditions are met. If all the requirements are fulfilled, but issues persist, consult the tracking troubleshooting guide.

  • The final URL in the LinkedIn ad must be a complete URL without any shortening by a link shortener (e.g., bit.ly, except for hubs.ly). Link shorteners remove parameters from the end of the URL, hindering tracking.
  • The URL in the LinkedIn ad should not redirect, as HubSpot’s tracking parameters are removed during redirects. Only utilize the final, non-redirecting version of a URL, including http to https redirects.
  • LinkedIn automatically shortens lengthy ad URLs. LinkedIn’s automatic link shortening is compatible with SalesTitan’s tracking and does not disrupt SalesTitan’s ability to apply the tracking template.
  • It is not feasible to track LinkedIn ads incorporating @mentions or hashtags (#).

Important note: Your utilization of the LinkedIn Ads integration is contingent on LinkedIn’s terms and conditions. SalesTitan will have the capability to view and manage your account, along with storing your LinkedIn Ads account number. When you authorize the integration, SalesTitan receives a user token with permissions on the connected ad accounts and pages. SalesTitan can view but does not store all the ad accounts and pages you have permissions for. LinkedIn will share settings details (e.g., name, budget, bid strategy, creative) and performance metrics (impressions, clicks, etc.) for all campaign groups, campaigns, and ads in the ad accounts you connected.

 

UTM parameters

SalesTitan monitors LinkedIn ads by implementing a tracking template on the compatible formats of Sponsored Content. SalesTitan appends specific URL parameters to every LinkedIn ad:
