At SalesTitan, we provide three boards: main, sharing, and private. The framework of each of these boards is the same; what differentiates them is the level of access each offers.

Note: Different Board types are available once you upgrade to the business plan level.

Main boards

Everyone who is a team member on your account can see the main boards. Admins, members, and viewers can all be considered team members. All of your team members on your account will have access to everything you create on the main board. There is no restriction on the number of boards you can establish, and these boards are available on all of our plans.

Shareable boards

Shareable boards are employed when you want to share a board with individuals outside of your team or organization, such as clients, interns, or freelancers. You can invite these users as guests on particular sharing boards within your account. Click here to learn how to invite a visitor to your sharing board. 

A guest you invite to a shareable board will only have access to the board you specifically asked them to. Nothing else in your account will be accessible to your visitors. Please read this article to learn what an outside visitor can do on a sharing board.

You can invite your team members to your sharing board if they are viewers or members. Only the shareable boards to which they have been granted access will be shown to your team members. The Basic, Pro, and Enterprise plans provide shareable boards.

Private boards

Offered on the Pro and Enterprise plans, Private boards are only able to be viewed by the creator or those specifically invited. Private boards are just for your “team” you do not have the ability to invite guests to your private board.

Private boards might be a terrific alternative for you if you have a project that you aren’t quite ready to reveal or a board with confidential material!

 Note: High-level information about a private and shareable board, such as its name, subscribers, and creation date, will be available to administrators of an Enterprise plan via the content directory.
 

How to change the board type

To modify the board type, you can access “Board settings” by clicking on the three-dot menu in your board’s top right corner. Choose the board you want to change by clicking “Change board type” from there.

Note: If you are not the board owner, you won't be able to alter the board type. You'll have to request the board owner to make the necessary changes.
